Just around the corner, behind tall governmental buildings, the 160 year old Church is open, welcoming and offers a hopeful insight on life for prisoners willing to change.

House of Grace was founded by the late Kamil Shehade (1954-2000) and his wife Agnes Shehade in Haifa in 1982. The reason and motivation of Kamil Shehade for the foundation of House of Grace was the death of a childhood friend of him, who committed suicide in prison because he no longer could provide for his sick mother and saw no way out.
